Netrani Diving

The tiny uninhabited island of Netrani lies 10 nautical miles off the coastal Light House of Bhatkal, Karnataka, India. Home to a diversity of fish life common to Goa and the Arabian Sea, it is well known for regular sightings of Turtles, Napoleon Wrasse, Great Barracuda, Cobia, White and Black Tip Sharks, Stingrays and Stonefish.

With depths ranging from 6 to 40 meters, the visibility is not great, hence there is the presence of backscatter in the underwater photographs. The resources are very limited, the island is obsolete in its diving accessibility, and hardly any documentation has been done. This uncharted virgin territory is as of yet, still unexplored, and the photos below offer you some rare glimpses of the site.
